Achill Island, Ireland – October 19, 2012: The Aer Lingus Kite Surf Pro Ireland has been called off for the day due to small waves and light wind. Contest directors are optimistic for a first start this weekend.
“The forecast was not looking great for wind or waves today,” said Brad Price, Head Judge for the KSP world championship tour. “We are working closely with our dedicated team of locals and monitoring the forecast charts carefully. Conditions are looking very promising at the moment for a possible start tomorrow afternoon or Sunday.”
Event organizers will reconvene at dawn tomorrow morning to assess conditions for a 10:00am first possible start for men’s heat one, which promises to be an explosive start to the competition.
Tune in live at 10am Ireland time on www.kspworldtour.com/live tomorrow morning for the morning show and a first possible start of Men's Round 1.
