Achill Island, Ireland – October 27, 2012: Heading into the final day of the holding period, KSP contest directors anticipate an early start tomorrow. The world’s top kite surfers look forward to an action packed final day in strong wind, stormy surf surf and cold, rainy weather.
“The wind hasn’t really been an issue for us over the past week, but the waves have just been too small to be contestable”, said local organizer Kieran Sammon of Freeride Ireland. “But that’s all going to change tomorrow as this swell approaches. It will be interesting to see how the weather affects the surf conditions, but we’re hoping to get a full day of action and crown the champions tomorrow night.”
Men’s heat number 8 will be the first to hit the water with Keahi De Aboitiz (AUS, Cabrinha), World Champion Airton Cozzolino (ITA, North) and local wildcard Mark Barry (IRL), followed by women’s round 1.
Tune in to www.kspworldtour.com/live tomorrow at 10 am to watch the morning show and receive the latest updates.
